i.am Angel x LAUSD Teams Compete at the FIRST Robotics World Championship 2025

on Every year, over 50,000 students from around the world come to Houston to compete in the FIRST Robotics World Championship. In 2025, 4 teams from the Los Angeles Unified School District advanced to the World Championship event! LAUSD x i.am Angel Foundation supported the following teams in attendance at the event:
- The Robo-Nerds from Franklin High School
- The Wolverines from Foshay Learning Center
- The Technobots from Foshay Learning Center
- The Robolutionaries from International Studies Learning Center
At the World Championships, our teams saw great success and brought home invaluable awards! The Robo-Nerds from Franklin High School’s FRC team, ranking 12 out of 75 in their division, were a finalist for the FRC Impact Award, which is the highest award that any FRC team can win. The Robolutionaries from International Studies Learning Center brought home the Judges Choice Award from their Division.
